「Think about」と「Think of」の違いと使い分け
=================================
　
「〇〇について考える」と英語で表現する場合は、“think about”と“think of”が使われますが、どうやって使い分ければいいか分からない人も多いのではないでしょうか？これらの表現は、国や地域によって少しだけ解釈の仕方が異なる場合があるので、今回は細かいニュアンスの違いについて掘り下げてみました。

1) Think about
→「～のことを考える、思案する」
--------------------------------------------------
　
“Think about”は少し漠然とした状況で何かを考えたり、あれこれ思いを巡らせるときに使われます。例えば、「幸せについて考えてください。あなたにとって幸せとは何ですか？」は、“Let’s think about happiness. What is happiness to you?”のように表現します。この場合は、「幸せについて考える＝幸福の漠然とした定義について考える」ことを意味するため、“think about”が適切です。
　
＜例文＞
　
What are you thinking about?
（何を考えているの？）
　
〜会話例〜

A: I am thinking about going to Japan.
（日本に行こうと思ってるんだ）

B: Why so suddenly?
（急にどうしたの？）

A: My friend is living in Japan now and asked me if I wanted to visit.
（今、友達が日本に住んでいて、会いに来ないかって誘われたんだ）

B: Nice!

2) Think of
→「～のことを考える、思い出す、思い返す」
--------------------------------------------------
　
特定の人や物事について考えたりする場合は、“think of”が使われます。例えば、「幸せだった時のことを思い出してください。なぜ幸せに感じましたか？」は、“Think of a time when you were happy. Why did you feel happy? ”のように表現します。この場合は、「幸せだったこと＝特定の出来事」を思い返しているため、“think of”が適切です。“think of”は、自分の経験や知識の中から何かを思い返す時に使う表現になります。
　
＜例文＞
　
What did you think of his presentation?
（彼のプレゼンについてどう思った？）
　
〜会話例〜

A: This ramen is so good.
（このラーメンすごく美味しい）

B: It makes me think of the time when we went to Japan.
（日本に行った時のことを思い出すよね）

横浜市日ノ出町の家系ラーメンといえば…！神奈川県横浜市中区日ノ出町『たかさご家本店』にお邪魔しました。京急本線「日ノ出町駅」から1分ほどにあり、緑の看板に大きく「とんこつラーメン」とあるのですぐ分かります。家系ラーメンの歴史の上でも名前がよく出るお店で、詳しいことは他に譲りますが、こちらで修行された方々がさらに分かれて有名な家系ラーメン店を出されています。普段は夜中まで営業されているので、深夜にふと食べたくなった時にもつい寄れてしまうのも嬉しいですね。それでは早速ご覧ください！

Speaking of Iekei Ramen in Hinode-cho, Yokohama City ...! We visited "Takasagoya Main Store" in Hinode-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama-shi, Kanagawa! It's about 1 minute from "Hinodecho Station" on the Keikyu Main Line, and you can easily find it because the green sign says "Tonkotsu Ramen"! It is a shop whose name often appears in the history of Iekei Ramen, and I will leave the details to others, but the people who trained here are further divided into famous Iekei Ramen shops. It's open until midnight, so it's nice to be able to stop by when you suddenly want to eat at midnight! Let's get in the way!

＊Iekei-ramen, is a style of ramen with fatty pork-soy-sauce flavored soup with thick flat noodles. The affiliated ramen houses originating from Yoshimura-ya Ramen in Yokohama! 徳島ラーメンを巡る旅、茶系で有名なあの店へ！徳島県徳島市『いのたに本店』に伺いました。徳島ラーメンはそのスープなどの特徴から白系、黄色系、茶系と３系統に分けられることがあります。今回伺った「いのたに」はいわゆる「茶系」の有名店で、以前あの横浜らーめん博物館（ラー博）に出店していたこともあり、その名前が一躍全国区となりました。ラーメン激戦区である徳島でも人気の高いお店です。初めて伺った徳島らーめん人気店の味、早速ご覧ください！

A trip around Tokushima ramen, to that shop famous for tea! I visited "Inotani Main Store" in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture. Tokushima ramen can be divided into three types, white, yellow, and brown, depending on the characteristics of the soup. The "Inotani" I visited this time is a famous so-called "brown" store, and since it had previously opened at the Yokohama Ramen Museum (Ra Expo), its name suddenly became a national district.
