Our family is honoured to be part of the expanded edition of Bob Lee’s (The Fat Farmer) photography project, Memory Blocks.
Bob came to take our family portrait in our living room recently, and we love the way the photos turned out.
We were very happy that Faith was well-behaved during the session because it is not that easy to keep an autistic 19-year-old young lady still for very long. She looked like she enjoyed the photo session and even managed a smile. Though she did run away at least once during the shoot.
Side note: I love how he asked me to turn on my work lights for the photo. Yes, I have two huge lights in the living room for video work, on wheeled light stands.
Memory Blocks captures portraits of families staying in HDB flats. The portraits are made in the living room, a “potent site for familial interaction”.
This expanded edition of photographs captures how the pandemic has changed the way we live.
The project is part of the 7th Singapore International Photography Festival (7th SIPF 2020).

This exciting take on zong zi recipe is for the seafood lovers! While not from any specific dialect group, the Seafood Bak Chang recipe features a mouth-watering filling including baby abalone, crab, scallops, hei bi (dried shrimp) and salted egg.
On top of that, you can expect dumplings that are generously flavoured with XO sauce and oyster sauce for an aromatic fragrance that’ll keep you wanting seconds this duanwu festival!

800g Glutinous rice
1½ Pork lard oil
16 pieces Dried scallops
8 cloves Garlic
100g Dried shrimps
16 pieces Baby Abalone
1kg Crab leg meat (inclusive of shell)
16 pieces Salted eggs
100g Shallots (minced)
100g Garlic (minced)
Seasonings:
3 tbsp Light soy sauce
1 tbsp Dark soy sauce
3 tbsp XO sauce
3 tbsp Shaoxing wine
2 tbsp Sesame oil
White Pepper to taste
Wrappings:
32 pieces of bamboo leaves
Cotton strings / Hemp strings

I love both korean and American beauty! Makes me ultra happy when I feel that my makeup is on fleek.
What type of skin do u have?
I have combination, acne prone, sensitive skin.
Both my cheeks are ultra dry but my forehead and nose are filled with oil/ sebum! Literally an oily disco ball..
Acne prone-- hmm I do have comedogenic pimples previously when I was a teenager. I guess from 16-19 yr old. This nightmare comes back when I don't sleep/eat well, drink enough H2O and when I'm under stress. I'm also prone to acne due to hormonal imbalances, thus I tend to breakout during pms.
Skincare colour match?
Too faced Born This Way Foundation - Porcelain
Fenty Beauty Foundation - Shade 140
For foundation I tend to go abit lighter due to korean cushion shades or even with American fluid foundation. I love powder foundation esp the Bare minerals one, cos it doesn't clog my pores and break me out.
