Mother's Day has never been an easy time for me, ever since my mommy left us 3 years ago. Now, whenever I miss her, I always go rummaging through her stuff and then I'll find a photo or trinket that will remind me of a certain time when I was with her. It doesn't really assuage the pain or the loss, but the fond memories help to somehow fill the void. I found this photo last week. It's my mommy with her mommy. Aren't they pretty?

The first time I ever saw my mommy cry was when she had to break the news to me that her mother had died. I think it crushed her, as they were very close and she was an only child. In a certain way, I don't think she ever really got over that profound loss. I've been told that you never really get over that kind of thing. You just learn to live with the grief. There's a lot of truth in that.

I would like to think my mommy is in a good place now, if there is such a thing as 'afterlife', because she's no longer suffering any pain. I can't say that a day goes by that I don't think of her or miss her. She was such a prevalent positive life-force to my existence. I was lucky to have her for as much time as I did in my life. And I continue to have the good fortune of positive and loving mother figures in my life until today.

I'm dedicating my show tomorrow afternoon in tribute to my mommy and my grandmommies. And all the mother figures who have nurtured me - there have been many. There still ARE many. Here's to all of you. Thank you. Happy Mother's Day. 💜

I love that cheery smile of yours, Arielle! Arielle's been wanting to open this carton box since it arrived at our home last week. I'm taking a "performance-pause" right now - i guess i could call it that way? Haha, as I'm not currently expressing myself to others as much as I'd always been doing. I don't post any "life update", don't release music, no #OOTD whatever... So not Kim haha... Who's Kim anyway right? She's just figuring out all her sides. Or is it because SUDDENLY I'm so 26??!! HAHAA!! I'm putting a wall between me & a lot of people & even opportunities recently.

I've been good though! I've been going within!! It's a pause that makes me feel like a boost. HAHA, HOW COMPLICATED? I just feel like I needed this, I needed to open my heart to me & my few loved ones.. Close lots of other DOORS...for a while.. so I could take a step back, gain back my energy and understand my thoughts completely ... before telling my stories , sharing my "whys", my lines of reasoning... BALANCING, I GUESS? And I write a lot more these days, both in my journal and in my song list *THANKS GOD FOR THAT*...

I want to share more! But you know, i guess this is enough for you to imagine my journey right now. Thanks for reading! I hope you're still taking care of yourself and your people, AND BE PROUD OF YOURSELF FOR THAT <3
