100位國際學者聯署公開聲明，國安法38條發揮作用喇
因為覆蓋全地球嘅國安法38條，令學生响大學討論或者研究所謂有爭議嘅課程嘅時候，講咗啲犯國安法嘅言論，擔心被篤灰或者某天途經香港會被捕，所以出現禁聲甚至唔敢上堂情況出現嘅。
加上有學者指出，某國經常利用學生做「武器」監視香港同本國留學生（"the Chinese party-state is weaponising students to monitor their university instructors in mainland China and Hong Kong."）。
所以來自16個國家（包括美國、英國、德國同澳洲），71間學院，超過100位學者聯署要求國際教育領袖、政治人物同高級政府官員聯手保衛各個院校嘅學術自由（"A united front of academic leaders, politicians and senior government officials is needed to mount a common defence of our academic freedoms."）。
“Universities are supposed to be a place for vigorous debate, and to offer a safe space for staff and students to discuss contentious issues without fear or favour. The national security law, which under article 38 is global in its scope and application, will compromise freedom of speech and academic autonomy, creating a chilling effect and encouraging critics of the Chinese party-state to self-censor.”
（大學院校本來就係一個安全空間比教員同學生，响有爭議嘅題目上毫無畏懼咁進行激烈爭辯嘅地方。可惜（香港嘅）國安法嘅條文，尤其是裡面對全地球有效嘅第38條，根本係侵蝕言論自由同學術自主，制造寒蟬效應，更鼓勵對批評中國政府嘅言論自我審查。）
