蜜拉當初是怎麼認識台灣的呢?來看看蜜拉高中時的小故事吧!

「 我在波蘭讀高中的時候 ，我透過網路 ，找到了一個筆友 ，她是台灣人 ，接著連續三年 ，我們都互相通信 （不是e-mail喔是真的用紙筆寫信！）我真的很喜歡那種感覺 ，每次我都很仔細小心的書寫 ，並花時間用心裝飾我的信 ，希望我的筆友每次收到我的信都能為她帶來好心情 。三年後，我們終於碰面了 ，她來波蘭找我! 一開始我真的很期待但也有點緊張 。寫信跟實際碰到人的感覺實在很不一樣啊 ！但她是個非常可愛的人 ，她在我們家住了兩週 ，跟我介紹好多台灣的人事物 ，讓我對台灣更認識也更好奇了 。我就是這樣開始認識台灣的」
"When I was in high school back in Poland, I had a Taiwanese pen pal friend I found online. We wrote letters (not email!) to each other for three years without ever meeting. I really enjoyed it. Sending a letter is different than sending an email. I spent a lot of time making it nice and pretty so it was pleasant for my friend to read. After those three years, we finally met when she came to see me in Poland. At first I was a little bit nervous but very excited. Writing and meeting is so different! But she was really lovely. She stayed at my place for two weeks and introduced me to Taiwan and its culture and I loved it. That's how I got to know Taiwan."
