A natural smile is something that both my patients and I sought after. 😁After all, natural beauty is the best beauty ain’t it?✨

Anyways, welcome to another case that made me go “Hmm how do I improve a smile that is already nice?”😂

To achieve this result:
Smile Design • In-Office Whitening • No-Prep Composite Veneers

First off, retained deciduous (“baby teeth”) and missing permanent upper right premolars are what first caught my (and I assume, all dentists’) eye. That explains the space on the right side of her smile.
But patient’s concern is somewhat different. She completed her orthodontic treatment elsewhere,and was concerned about the retroclined upper anteriors (front teeth) after her ortho treatment. We discussed about the possibility of orthodontic re-treatment to correct the retroclination but patient opted for other forms of correction.

Now, let’s jump back to the deciduous. We discussed about the possibility of dental implants in the future. Given that the deciduous are not mobile now but with shortened root length, it is a matter of time. We’ve decided to KIV for exfoliation (shedding) of the deciduous, at the mean time camouflaging her deciduous with composite veneer buildup. Of course the longevity of the restorations are well-informed and patient is very understanding.

I’ve increased the buccal thickness of the teeth (one of the thickest veneers I’ve ever done!) to make sure the Incisal edge of the front teeth lies the proper lip border, whilst making sure her phonation (speech) is unaltered and resting lip position is proper. Speaking about principals of smile design.

Placement of 8-units composite veneers with injection molding technique with GC Malaysia G-aenial Universal Injectable Composite (Shade A1) , and minor touch ups with @dental2u composite instruments.

Patient can now smile confidently in front of the camera and no longer have to worry how she looks like from the side (tho in my option she already looks beautiful enough!🙈). She told me that I’m more excited than her when I’m taking post-op pics, and I really was! The satisfaction after a good case is just amazing. 🦷🤗

This patient (who is also a very talented photographer/ friend of mine😆) wanted a fuller smile. Having ortho (braces treatment) done twice and having it out of consideration, we’ve decided to level up his smile with no-prep composite veneers.

After in-office dental whitening was done by his dentist (thanks @shin_hailey !)in his hometown, we then proceed with 6-units composite veneers with injection molding technique with @GC G-aenial Universal Injectable Composite (Shade A1), Zhermack clear silicone template from @acme.onlinemall , and minor touch ups with @dental2u composite instruments.

I made a mistake of NOT taking out the denture replacing the missing 14 pre-op , hence the “sudden” gap in the post-op pic. 😆 Gotta be more cautious next time!
The right lateral incisor is tad bit short on the distal compared to the left side, as I had to shorten it after checking the canine guidance. Occlusion plays an important role in veneer cases as such!🦷

The last picture says a lot. It really gives me a great sense of satisfaction after a case, as I often felt like I’ve completed an art piece!✨

Hello Youtube Family!


This video is not just for the mummy-to-be’s and new mums but to those who want to be a mummy one day. Today, I share my experience being a new mother and how it has changed me as a person. Being a mother can be challenging but it gets better, I promise!

We should embrace change. We need change to grow. Focus on what you will gain rather than that you will lose. Isaac has taught me how to be more understanding, loving and patient. Parenthood isn’t rainbows and butterflies all the way. But without pain, is no joy.

As difficult as the newborn phase was, it goes by so quick. I find myself reminiscing Isaac as a newborn. Babies just grow so so quick. Right now, Isaac needs me more than any person in the world. Pretty soon, he won’t need me to hold his little hand anymore. I want to cherish each moment as much as possible. There is no such thing as a perfect mother. What matters is, I am doing the best at I could to give him a happy & healthy life.

Isaac, thank you for showing me a type of happiness I never knew existed. I am blessed and lucky to be your mummy.
