Ueno is an area in north-west central Tokyo, near Asakusa. It's a little older and less shiny and modern than some other areas. It's famous for the park, with Shinobazu Pond, Ueno Zoo and several museums. It's also known for pandas, because of the giant pandas at the zoo. Ameyokocho is a popular street by the train tracks, with market stalls selling all sorts of household goods, fresh fish, fruit and street food - a good place to get Japanese food snacks!

パンダくんとくまさんクッキー♪ | The Cutest Teddy Bear & Panda Cookies

To make the cookies more crispy, I used powdered sugar.
Very delicious butter cookies!
You can have a fun time with a lot of cookies.
まだまだ気温が高いのでクッキー生地も扱いにくいんですが、こまめに冷やしながらパンダくんとくまさんのクッキーを作ってみました^^
材料の砂糖を粉糖にするのは、よりサクサクにしたいから。
とっても美味しいバタークッキーになっています。
数がそろうとなんかとっても楽しい感じになります。
ラッピングは透明なBOXや大き目の瓶などにぎゅうぎゅう詰めに入れると可愛いです。一枚ずつ個包装してミニ封筒に入れるのもおススメ!

【Ingredients】30 Cookies
●plain Cookie dough　
100g Cake flour
50g Powdered sugar
20g egg yolk
65g unsalted butter
vanilla oil

●Cocoa Cookie dough　
85g Cake flour
15g cocoa powder
50g Powdered sugar
20g egg yolk
65g unsalted butter
vanilla oil

*food coloring （pink）
【Directions】
You can make plain or cocoa cookies with the same directions.
For cocoa cookies, add cocoa powder when you add cake flour.

①Put butter and powdered sugar in a bowl, and stir with a rubber spatula.
②Add egg yolk and mix well with a whisk.
③Add vanilla oil and mix.
④Sift and add cake flour and mix.
(Mixing too much makes the cookies hard.)
⑤Wrap the dough with cling film, leave it in the fridge for 1 hour.
⑥Roll out the dough into 3mm thick, then cool it in the fridge again.
Cooling is very important, you can cut out the dough beautifully.
⑦Cut out the dough and make pand-shaped and bear-shaped cookies.
I used an alminum sheet instead of a cookie cutter, but you can get a round-shaped cookie cutter and make it oval.
Oval shapes make the cookies look more like animals.
⑧After cutting out, put each part on a baking sheet and make pandas and bears.
For black eyes, add some black cocoa powder to the dough.
For cheeks, add some pink food coloring to the plain dough.
⑨Before baking, cool it in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
⑩Bake in the pre-heated oven (160℃) for 15 minutes. If the cookies are getting too brown, cover them with alminum foil.
Cool them on a cake cooler.
⑪Add lemon juice to powdered sugar to make frosting.
A little lemon juice is enough, add only a few drops each time and make it thick enough.
⑫When the cookies are completely cool, put the frosting in a pastry bag and squeeze eyes. Then serve!

Wait to wrap until the frosting is dry.


【材料】パンダくんとくまさん合わせて30人位
●プレーン生地
薄力粉　100g
粉糖　50g
卵黄　20g
無塩バター　65g
バニラオイル
●ココア生地
薄力粉　85g
ココアパウダー 15g
粉糖　50g
卵黄　20g
無塩バター　65g
バニラオイル

*アイシングカラー(ピンク)　「頬」
*ブラックココア　「目」
*粉糖　レモン果汁「目」

【作り方】
プレーンもココアも同じ作り方です。
ココア生地は薄力粉をふるい入れるときにココアを加えて下さい。

①ボウルにバターと粉糖を入れてゴムベラで混ぜる。
②卵黄を加えてホイッパーでよく混ぜる。
③バニラオイルも加えて混ぜる。
④薄力粉をふるって加えて混ぜる。
(混ぜすぎないようにする。混ぜすぎると焼き上がり後に固くなる)
⑤生地をラップに包んで冷蔵庫で1時間休ませる。
⑥生地を3ｍｍの厚さに伸ばして、一旦ここでまた冷蔵庫で生地を冷やす。
冷やしながら作業する事がとても大事なポイントです。綺麗な型抜きクッキーになります。
⑦パンダとクマをそれぞれ型抜きをする。
動画内ではホビー用のアルミ板を、型の代わりにしていますが、既存の
丸い型などを楕円形にすると動物らしい形に出来ます。
⑧パーツを抜いたら、天板の上でくっつけていく。
黒目の部分はココア生地に少量のブラックココアを加える。
頬の部分はプレーン生地にピンクの食紅を加える。
⑨焼く前に冷蔵庫で30分ほど冷やす。
⑩160℃に温めたオーブンで15分焼く。途中焦げそうなら上にアルミホイルを被せる。ケーキクーラーの上で冷ます。
⑪粉糖にレモン果汁を加えてアイシングを作る。
少量で足りるので、粉糖に加えるレモン果汁は数滴ずつ加えながら固さ調整する。
⑫完全に冷めたら、アイシングを絞り袋に入れて、目を絞る。出来上がり!

ラッピングはアイシングが乾くまで待ちましょう。
