通常 EISA Awards 在相機的部分大多是人人有獎，畢竟現在相機新品也比較少了，所以不用太認真，這獎項的看點主要是在年度相機與年度鏡頭。其中相機部分 Canon EOS R5 雖然是 2020 年推出的產品，但也拿下了 2021-2022 最佳旗艦相機（Premium Camera）的獎項，而 EOS R5 在上一屆也拿下了 EISA Awards 2020-2021 的最佳創新相機獎。
EISA Awards 也會因為產品的多寡而調整獎項名目，例如今年沒有標準變焦鏡推出，今年的 EISA 就沒有「最佳標準變焦鏡頭」這個獎項。比較特殊的是年度鏡頭給了 Tamron 17-70mm F2.8 Di III VC RXD，今年副廠鏡頭也獲得不少獎項，在總計 12 個鏡頭獎中就有 6 個是副廠拿下，從本屆也可看出 E-Mount 的強勢，有 8 個獎項給了 E 環產品。而如果沒記錯的話，本次 EISA Awards 也是老蛙 Laowa 鏡頭首次獲獎的一屆，分別拿下了最佳手動鏡與最佳特殊鏡頭（Special Purpose）獎。
今年沒有空拍機這類產品的獎項，在智慧手機部分給出了最佳進階智慧手機 Oppo Find X3 Pro、最佳多媒體智慧手機 Xperia 1 III 兩個獎項，都是頗有特色的照相手機。其中 Oppo 有很有趣的顯微鏡功能，Xperia 則新搭載了新的潛望式望遠變焦鏡，兩台都是值得一拍的手機。
