Topic: Struggling with Stress Eating
This was me 7 days ago
I resisted eating like a mad dog for 5 days after my recent F Up, but sadly I just repeated another stress eating, finished devouring so much fast food all under 5-10 min
I shot this pic to remind myself that I fk up again…
Normally my instinct is to Go to the Gym & Lift
But this time I didn’t do that, instead I just ate like a mad man again who looked like he hasn’t eaten for 45 days
And I’ve faced this episode - many many times
This was one of those things I know that if I kept doing, it’s just gonna end up really bad for myself
And the truth is, I wasn’t willing to deal with the stress at the time and kept holding on to it, ending in another terrible binge eat that made me felt depressed & pissed off about myself
It was a downward spiral as I started to depend on Food more than ever - Not for energy & health purpose but more towards mental temporary relief
And I had enough
Enough of the BS I tell myself - that it’s okay to just eat and enjoy the moment
Enough of Stress Eating - it’s time to earn back self control & discipline
It starts now
I’m sharing this, not to gain pity, but because I know how fkn hard stress eating messes up my body and I didn’t know whom to talk to - because normally it’s people who reached out to me!
I felt ashamed as I tell people to show up and keep the fire burning, but my own fire is being put off by myself
Whatever my personal reasons are - it is not an excuse to keep fking up, and that’s why I’m sharing this publicly to hold myself accountable to all of you, and to commit to a Plan
I don’t believe in perfection - but I believe in owning up to my shit & to take full control to transform into the Beast I know I am Capable of being
I hope this simple sharing can give some of you who struggle with the same problem - some courage & energy to change something for the better
I know it’s tough af, but you’re not alone and that you can be in control, as long as you’re willing to put in the effort 🔥
We are in this together - Let’s do this 💯

Joreen had great interest in numbers since young. However we did not send Joreen to abacus enrichment class as we're concern that she will be confuse with the school's regular math teaching method, abacus will not benefit her..
Gosh we're so wrong!!
Thankfully ShuLian from @funwithabacus answered our concerns patiently (sharing the info here, hopefully will help parents with the same concern)
- learning abacus will not conflict with other Math methods as the goals for early childhood Math are to instill a correct & proper Mathematical foundation in students.
- in fact, young children learn best with concrete tools so they use a 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝟗-𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐬 to introduce proper numerical concepts.
- mastering abacus & mental calculations is good for development of the brain - problem-solving, intuitive thinking...
Mama is confident with the efficacy of their abacus programme, it will train Joreen to be able to count faster & accurately. Most important is she enjoys & always look forward to the loving Teacher Sim's classes. 🥰 Happy & fun learning! ❣️ I also love that after each class, Teacher Sim will share with me about Joreen's progress & tips to help her 👍
See comments below for video of Joreen teaching mama about her 1st lesson with @funwithabacus
It was a joy to watch her increased confidence with her new found intellect😍 In just 3 lessons, she is able to do sums that involved 3 numbers independently.
Mama is so excited to see how Joreen progress to in the months to come!
If you are keen to experience their class,

或when I use to sit in the car I needed to use both sides of my hand to touch the car window. 4 times with both hands. I don’t even know why.
I know theirs a billion people will worst tragic fates than me and this is such a stupid small problem but this channel is for me to express my self.
But like biting my lips, bitinh the inside of my mouth (like this) biting other parts of my hand, picking my bitten fingernails. Scratching my eyes inner part, before my elbows I constantly scratched for no reason. It’s almost like self harm.
I used to think everyone did this at least bit their lips.
Now the reasons for this some believe is anxiety. But honestly I bite my hands when I’m either bored or thinking. I think it’s a mixture because when I upload a video and I’m writing the tags and all that I’m both thinking but also anxious because I’m nervous about the video performance. So I think for me it’s both those things.
Now a cause of 身體聚焦重複行為障礙或BFRB有一些人説有自己問題外還有遺傳成分. 因為我也真的見過長booy有scratch themselves的習慣.
My solution: after watching this video they told me that the solution is not to stop yourself from the impulse of doing these things before that’ll only make you want to do it more. Actually it is to be conscious in that moment that you want to do this and do another action as a replacement. So what I did is I pretend I’m playing the piano every time I get this self harm impulse. Strange it when I do this my mouth still moves and if I were biting my nails or my lips and yesterday I caught myself constantly want to bite.
But over time it has gotten easier. And I think with enough effort I can stop this. Because honestly my nails are traumatized beyond belief and it’s been so long time I’ve had to cut nails because they don’t grow and is so weak. When I scratch an itch it feels weak. Like it’s gotta fall off. And it’s just...I don’t want that you know so let’s try to change it.
Thanks for letting me make this weird video bye.
