#新加坡 🇸🇬 的獨立建國，到底需不需要靠旁邊的兩個大國--印尼與馬來西亞？讓我們看一下歷史上的案例：
1965年3月10日，當印尼依然主張對馬來亞、新加坡與北婆羅洲的領土權利，雙方維持軍事對抗的狀態時，兩名印尼海軍陸戰隊隊員Harun Said 與Osman Mohamed Ali，接獲軍方上級的指示，偽裝成平民入境新加坡後，在新加坡烏節路(Orchard Road)的匯豐銀行(Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank)大樓引爆炸彈，炸死了三名新加坡的平民百姓。
隨後，這兩名印尼軍人被新加坡逮捕、審判，並且於1968年在新加坡的監獄裡，被剛獨立的新加坡官方正式處以絞刑。在印尼官方的認知裡，印尼與馬來西亞當時處於交戰狀態，這兩名印尼軍人是基於國家的利益，對馬來西亞的國土新加坡發動攻擊，最終被逮捕而殉職身亡。因此，當這兩名軍人的遺體被送回印尼，隨即受到印尼軍方以隆重軍禮相迎並厚葬，使得印尼與新加坡之間，原本緊張的關係變得更為雪上加霜！
幸好，印尼與新加坡的官方，在接下來的日子裡各自放低了姿態，創造了兩國關係得以改善的契機。首先，原本主導印馬對抗的印尼總統蘇卡諾，在1965年的930事變(Gerakan 30 September)後被奪權；軍事強人蘇哈托(Suharto)於1967年上台擔任總統，正式終止了印尼與馬來西亞之間的軍事對抗。
另一方面，新加坡總理李光耀(Lee Kwan Yew)於1973年前往印尼訪問期間，到執行新加坡匯豐銀行爆炸案的兩名印尼海軍陸戰隊隊員的墓前，親自獻花致敬(迷之音：「糟糕~ 李光耀竟然變成 #印尼同路人!?」)，以化解印尼民間對新加坡處死國家英雄的不滿怨氣。緊接著，印尼總統蘇哈托也於1974年，親自到新加坡進行正式國事訪問，讓兩國間的關係重行升溫，回復到同為東協成員國應有的熱度。

之後，新加坡也一直試圖維持著印星關係之間的和諧，並且奉印尼為東協國家的龍頭。不但每屆印尼總統的就職儀式，星國總理必定出席；而且等到1990年8月，印尼與中華人民共和國建交後，才接著在一個多月之後與中共當局建交(以免被其他人指責為 #中共同路人)。
此外，新加坡更是小心翼翼地，維持著與馬來西亞之間的友好關係。直到今天，來自馬來西亞的馬來語(Bahasa Melayu)，依舊是新加坡正式且唯一的國語(Bahasa Kebangsaan/National Language)，每一位新加坡的小學生，都必須學會用馬來語唱國歌Majulah Singapura(前進吧! 新加坡)。
撇開象徵意義的層面不談，在實質的資源供給上，新加坡的飲用水，大多數也是由馬來西亞提供；畢竟沒水可喝的時候，芒果乾絕對不會好吃!
所以，Namewee 黃明志 沒說錯：小小的島獨立建國，最重要的是人民要團結、政府也要爭氣。不過，依靠著圓融的手段，維持與周邊大國的穩定關係，才是長遠發展的成功關鍵。
