生活隨筆#7 London Summer
嚴寒的冬天、濕冷的春天都不好受，大概從五月開始，同事們就在討論夏天何時來臨。「去年的這個時間我們已經有第一個熱浪呢」一位同事說，「對啊，可現在卻還在穿毛衣」另一位同事回應，搭配一個翻白眼。我沒有插嘴，腦裡在想，這或許是因為疫情，大家減少旅行，工廠停工，減少溫室氣體排放，氣溫自然下降，怎麼說也應該算是好事吧（沒想到中學的科學知識竟然在上班時派上用場，在我放空的時候）。
五月到七月，真正有夏天氣息的日子，應該不超過十日，當然，在那十天當中，同事們依然會談論天氣，一方面看得出來他們心情很好（應該是維他命D起的作用），但他們言語中還是要表達一些「不滿」，「熱死了，昨天睡不著」同事K說，「你家有風扇嗎？」同事E問我，「希望涼快的日子快點來到」同事W翻著白眼說。
見識過倫敦真正的炎夏，就會覺得香港的夏天還好，因為香港到處都是超低溫冷氣，而且走在街上總有瓦遮頭，不至於直接被紫外光直射；這邊恰恰相反，我現在工作跟住的地方都沒有冷氣（美術館裡當然有，但隔壁的辦公室沒有），走在街上，我感受到陽光打在臉上的灼熱感（甚至開始長雀斑），確實不好受。然而，如果在炎熱的夏天剛好吹來一陣風，然後你剛好最在河邊的樹下，樹影在你眼前溫柔的律動，配合樹葉的聲音、河水流過的聲音、鳥的聲音，甚至旁邊小孩在打鬧的聲音變成一個整體，有一種難以言喻的浪漫和舒暢感覺。
大概是因為一年只有那麼幾天可以任性地被陽光寵幸，所以特別珍惜吧。
我有一位同事叫Summer（以地道英國人來說，他們會覺得那是「奇怪」的英文名），有一位客人打來，她自我介紹的時候說，"I am Summer, the season"。還記得那天正正是寒冷的仲夏（聽起來很矛盾），聽到她這麼說，心頭覺得暖暖的。
大概這就是倫敦夏日給我的印象吧？
星期六去Brighton，希望當天會有大晴天（看到我也沾染了倫敦人的口氣，開始習慣聊天氣了）。

今年夏天，在英國倫敦將有一場特別的主題活動: Bruncherton
取名自影集 Bridgerton，將"早午餐Brunch" 與 "Bridgerton" 兩個英文單字結合，創立一場主題式早午餐聚會 Bruncherton
.
這場主題式早午餐是希望大家裝扮成柏捷頓影集場景，化妝成攝政時代的故事背景居民，一起參與上流社會的醜聞八卦聚會
.
活動舉辦是在英國倫敦的Winchester House Club，這棟建築是創立於1892年。
整場活動長達三小時，具有戲劇成分的主題式活動，包含宴會式的自助餐食，會設計像是上流社會的手指食物那樣的小巧好拿，另外還會有持續一個小時的酒類飲品無限暢飲，提供的酒品有琴酒或式氣泡酒。
你可以拿著香檳高腳長酒杯裝著氣泡酒，與身旁的人優雅地交談

這樣的主題性活動就是要讓人親身體驗，沉浸式走進影集劇中時代背景。搭配餐食酒水來一場特別的夏日時光
