I’m so happy for 4 year old Mae who can now play songs on the keyboard! Through a mobile app called “Simply Piano”, she learned to play. I remember when she first started learning with the app, she was so intimidated by the musical notes flashing across the screen that she didn’t dare to try. 😅
Meanwhile, I was also learning as a beginner, and when she saw me practicing so much and having fun, she also wanted to learn! 😄
By God’s Grace, within these three months since the start of the Circuit Breaker (partial lockdown) in Singapore, we learnt a new skill! ❤️
This is one of the personal fulfillments of our church’s theme of “The Year of Time and Space” for us. Even though our horizontal space was restricted because of staying at home, we were ascending higher in terms of learning a new skill, and we also experienced accelerated progress! 👍
During my four years of playing the alto saxophone in the secondary school symphonic band, I kept regretting not learning the piano when I was younger. I struggled with things like music theory while my other band mates could do it all easily. 🎷
Unexpectedly, God restored the years to me this year and I was able to learn to play the piano/keyboard faster than expected. He is so gracious and kind to us.
Looking forward to Mae and I progressing further in this skill and having lots of fun along the way! 🙌
(P.S. Amilee is a vocal coach who can already play the piano/keyboard. Seeing us learning through the app, she is also gradually using the app to sharpen her piano-playing skills as well! ) 🎼
