สำหรับน้องชายของมหาเศรษฐีคนนี้ ก็เป็นเจ้าของธุรกิจที่แยกตัวออกมาจาก Reliance Industries ของพี่ชาย มีชื่อบริษัทว่า Reliance ADA Group

ในปี 2008 Mukesh Ambani มีทรัพย์สิน 1.4 ล้านล้านบาท รวยเป็นอันดับ 5 ของโลก
ในขณะที่ Anil Ambani ตามมาติด ๆ ด้วยทรัพย์สิน 1.37 ล้านล้านบาท และรวยเป็นอันดับ 6 ของโลก

โดยในปีนั้น เศรษฐี 4 อันดับแรกของโลก ได้แก่ วอร์เรน บัฟเฟตต์ (อเมริกัน), คาร์ลอส สลิม (เม็กซิโก),
บิลล์ เกตส์ (อเมริกัน) และลักษมี นิวาส มิตตัล (อินเดีย)

หลังจากผ่านไป 13 ปี Mukesh Ambani มีทรัพย์สินเพิ่มขึ้นเป็น 3 ล้านล้านบาท
กลายมาเป็นมหาเศรษฐีรวยสุดในอินเดียและเอเชีย และรวยเป็นอันดับ 10 ของโลก

แต่ในปี 2019 Ambani คนน้องกลับมีทรัพย์สิน เพียง 5.6 หมื่นล้านบาท
จนล่าสุด มีหลายคนกล่าวว่าความมั่งคั่งตอนนี้ของ Ambani คนน้อง ลดลงจนเกือบเป็นศูนย์

ย้อนกลับไปในปี 1948 หรือเมื่อ 73 ปีก่อน ชายชาวอินเดียวัย 16 ปี
ที่ชื่อ Dhirubhai Ambani ได้ตัดสินใจเดินทางออกจากบ้านเกิดไปทำงานที่ประเทศเยเมน

ผ่านไป 10 ปี Dhirubhai กลับมาที่อินเดียพร้อมกับเงินเก็บ เพื่อมาเริ่มสร้างธุรกิจเอง

Dhirubhai เริ่มจากการนำเข้าเส้นใยสังเคราะห์และส่งออกเครื่องเทศ ก่อนจะเริ่มทำธุรกิจสิ่งทอ ซึ่งก็เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว จน Dhirubhai ได้ขยายกิจการไปในอุตสาหกรรมอื่น และเปลี่ยนมาใช้ชื่อบริษัทว่า “Reliance Industries” ในปี 1973

Reliance Industries สามารถ IPO ได้ในปี 1977 ซึ่งหุ้นของบริษัทก็มีชาวอินเดียสนใจลงทุนเป็นจำนวนมาก ถึงขนาดเคยจัดประชุมผู้ถือหุ้นที่สเตเดียม

ตั้งแต่ที่กิจการเติบโตขึ้นอย่างรวดเร็ว Dhirubhai ก็เริ่มให้ลูกชายทั้ง 2 คนของเขา เข้ามาช่วยบริหารงานที่บริษัท

แต่แล้วในปี 2002 Dhirubhai ได้เสียชีวิตลงและได้ทิ้งกิจการ Reliance Industries ไว้กับลูกชายทั้ง 2 คน

Dhirubhai ที่จากโลกนี้ไปไม่ได้ทำพินัยกรรมและข้อตกลงแบ่งกิจการให้กับลูกแต่ละคนไว้ ซึ่งเขาก็คงไม่คิดว่า จะเกิดปัญหาตามมา

โดยปัญหาที่ว่านั้นเริ่มเกิดขึ้นเพราะลูกชายทั้ง 2 คน ที่เริ่มเข้าทำงานและมีบทบาทในบริษัทมาพร้อม ๆ กัน
กลับตกลงกันไม่ได้ว่าใครจะเป็นเจ้าของและใครจะดูแลและรับผิดชอบบริษัทไหนบ้าง

สุดท้ายแล้ว ในช่วงปี 2004 ถึง 2005 ผู้เป็นแม่ต้องเข้ามาช่วยแก้ปัญหา
โดยการจ้างบุคคลที่ 3 ให้เข้ามาจัดการเรื่องการแยกบริษัทออกจากกันไปเลย

Mukesh Ambani คนพี่ได้ธุรกิจหลักคือปิโตรเลียม ซึ่งเขามีบทบาทสำคัญในการขยายกิจการในส่วนนี้มาตั้งแต่แรก และยังได้ธุรกิจอื่น ๆ อย่างเช่นปิโตรเคมี ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นธุรกิจยุคเก่า โดยกลุ่มบริษัทของ Mukesh ใช้ชื่อว่า Reliance Industries

Anil Ambani คนน้องได้ธุรกิจหลักคือ Reliance Communications ธุรกิจโทรคมนาคมที่เพิ่งเริ่มกิจการได้ไม่นาน แต่ก็กลายเป็นบริษัทเทเลคอมที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับ 2 ในอินเดีย ซึ่งแม้ว่า Mukesh จะมีบทบาทสำคัญมาตั้งแต่ต้น แต่ Anil ก็อยากได้ธุรกิจนี้เช่นกัน

นอกจากธุรกิจเทเลคอมแล้ว กิจการอื่นที่ Anil Ambani ได้รับไปดูแลอีกก็อย่างเช่น ธุรกิจพลังงาน และบริการทางการเงิน ซึ่งส่วนมากจะเป็นธุรกิจยุคใหม่ โดยกลุ่มธุรกิจของ Anil Ambani ใช้ชื่อว่า “Reliance ADA Group”

หลังจากจบเรื่องการแบ่งธุรกิจแล้ว แต่ละคนก็เริ่มต่อยอดธุรกิจตามเส้นทางของตัวเอง ยกตัวอย่างเช่น

Mukesh Ambani เริ่มทำธุรกิจค้าปลีกในปี 2006 จน Reliance Retail กลายมาเป็นธุรกิจค้าปลีกที่ใหญ่สุดในอินเดีย

ในขณะที่ Anil Ambani ก็ได้ต่อยอดทำธุรกิจบันเทิง อย่างเช่นในปี 2005 ได้ซื้อบริษัท Adlabs Films ที่เป็นเจ้าของโรงภาพยนตร์ Big Cinemas ซึ่งกลายมาเป็นโรงภาพยนตร์ที่มีสาขามากสุดในอินเดียในอีก 3 ปีถัดมา

ในปี 2008 Reliance Entertainment ของ Anil Ambani ก็ได้เซ็นสัญญากับบริษัทผลิตภาพยนตร์ DreamWorks ของผู้กำกับ Steven Spielberg ซึ่งได้ร่วมผลิตภาพยนตร์ที่ได้รางวัลมากมาย อย่างเช่น The Help และ Lincoln

และปีเดียวกันนี้ Anil Ambani ก็ได้นำบริษัทพลังงานอย่าง Reliance Power จดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ ด้วยมูลค่าการระดมทุนที่สูงเป็นประวัติการณ์ในขณะนั้น

ผ่านไป 6 ปีหลังจากการเสียชีวิตของ Dhirubhai
ดูเหมือนว่าลูกชายของเขาทั้งคู่ก็ต่อยอดกิจการไปได้อย่างสวยงาม
จนทำให้ในปี 2008 Mukesh มีทรัพย์สิน 1.4 ล้านล้านบาท รวยเป็นอันดับ 5 ของโลก และ Anil มีทรัพย์สิน 1.37 ล้านล้านบาท รวยเป็นอันดับ 6 ของโลก

แต่หลังจากนั้น เส้นทางความมั่งคั่งของพี่น้องคู่นี้ กลับเริ่มมีทิศทางที่สวนทางกัน
คนพี่รวยขึ้น ส่วนคนน้องความมั่งคั่งหายไปเกือบหมด

แล้วมันเกิดอะไรขึ้น ?

เรื่องทั้งหมดมีจุดเริ่มต้นมาจากเงินที่บริษัท Reliance Power ของ Anil Ambani ได้มาจากการ IPO มีแผนจะใช้สร้างโรงไฟฟ้าที่ส่วนใหญ่จะผลิตจากก๊าซ

โดยก๊าซที่ Reliance Power ใช้ ก็มาจากบริษัทก๊าซธรรมชาติในเครือ Reliance Industries ของ Mukesh นั่นเอง

ซึ่งในตอนที่แยกบริษัทกัน สองพี่น้องก็ได้เซ็นสัญญาว่าบริษัทก๊าซของ Mukesh Ambani จะขายก๊าซให้โรงไฟฟ้าของน้องชายที่ราคาหนึ่ง

แต่ในวันที่โรงไฟฟ้าสร้างใกล้จะเสร็จและถึงเวลาที่พี่ชายจะขายก๊าซให้กับน้อง ราคาก๊าซในตลาดโลกกลับเพิ่มสูงขึ้นไปเกือบเท่าตัว

Anil Ambani จึงต้องการซื้อก๊าซในราคาที่ตกลงกัน เพื่อที่จะไม่ต้องเผชิญต้นทุนก๊าซที่สูงขึ้น
แต่ทาง Mukesh Ambani ไม่สามารถขายก๊าซตามราคาที่ตกลงกันไว้ได้เพราะบริษัทของเขาจะขาดทุน

แต่แทนที่จะเจรจาตกลงกัน Anil Ambani กลับเลือกที่จะยื่นฟ้องบริษัทพี่ชายในปี 2010 เพื่อให้ซื้อก๊าซได้ในราคาเดิมที่เคยตกลงกัน

แต่ศาลก็ได้มีคำสั่งให้ Anil Ambani ซื้อก๊าซในราคาใกล้เคียงกับราคาตลาดโลก ซึ่งเป็นไปตามนโยบายราคาก๊าซของประเทศ

สุดท้ายแล้ว Anil Ambani ที่ต้องแบกรับต้นทุนก๊าซเพิ่มขึ้นเกือบเท่าตัว จึงไม่สามารถจัดหาก๊าซเพื่อไปใช้ผลิตไฟฟ้าในโรงไฟฟ้าที่สร้างรอไว้แล้วได้

Reliance Power จึงกลายเป็นบริษัทที่มีหนี้มหาศาล จนต้องขายทรัพย์สินและกิจการบางส่วนออกไป เพื่อเอามาใช้หนี้ ซึ่งรวมถึงกิจการโรงภาพยนตร์ Big Cinemas ที่ซื้อมาเมื่อปี 2008 ด้วย

แต่ความผิดพลาดทางธุรกิจของ Anil Ambani ยังไม่ได้จบลงแค่นี้ เพราะเรื่องราวที่ร้ายแรงกว่านั้น เกิดขึ้นกับธุรกิจโทรคมนาคมอย่าง Reliance Communications (RCom)

ในปี 2002 ซึ่งเป็นช่วงที่ RCom เพิ่งเริ่มทำธุรกิจ RCom เลือกใช้เทคโนโลยีการสื่อสารที่เรียกว่า CDMA ซึ่งใช้เงินลงทุนน้อยกว่า ขณะที่บริษัทคู่แข่งอย่างเช่น Airtel เลือกใช้เทคโนโลยีที่ชื่อ GSM

แม้เทคโนโลยีทั้ง 2 แบบจะใช้ได้ดีกับ 2G และ 3G เหมือนกัน แต่ปัญหาก็คือ CDMA ที่ RCom เลือกใช้ ไม่สามารถรองรับ 4G และ 5G ได้แบบ GSM ที่เหล่าคู่แข่งเลือกใช้

นั่นจึงทำให้ช่วงเวลาที่ทั่วโลกเปลี่ยนผ่านจาก 3G มาเป็น 4G อย่างรวดเร็ว RCom เลยตามคนอื่นไม่ทัน จน RCom กลายเป็นบริษัทที่เริ่มมีหนี้มากขึ้น

และจุดพลิกผันครั้งใหญ่ของ RCom รวมไปถึงทั้งอุตสาหกรรมเทเลคอมของอินเดีย ก็เกิดขึ้นในปี 2016

เมื่อ Mukesh Ambani ได้ก่อตั้งบริษัทย่อยของ Reliance Industries ในชื่อ “Jio” ซึ่งเป็นบริษัท
ที่เน้นบริการด้านเทคโนโลยี รวมถึงการให้บริการโทรคมนาคมแบบเดียวกับ RCom ด้วย

ด้วยชื่อเสียงของ Reliance Industries ก็ทำให้ Jio มีจำนวนผู้ใช้งานเครือข่ายโทรศัพท์เพิ่มขึ้นได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ส่งผลให้กำไรของบริษัทที่เป็นหนึ่งในผู้นำตลาดอย่าง Airtel ลดลงอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ และทำให้อีก 2 บริษัทที่มีส่วนแบ่งตลาดรองลงมาอย่าง Vodafone และ Idea ต้องควบรวมกิจการกัน

ในเวลาต่อมาบริษัท Jio ของ Mukesh Ambani ก็กลายมาเป็นบริษัทเทเลคอมที่ใหญ่สุดในอินเดีย ส่วน RCom ของ Anil ที่ย่ำแย่อยู่แล้ว ก็หายไปจากการแข่งขันในตลาดเทเลคอม จนทำให้บริษัทขาดทุนและกลายเป็นหนี้มหาศาล

RCom ต้องยอมขายสินทรัพย์ของกิจการบางส่วนให้กับ Jio เพื่อลดหนี้
แต่นั่นก็ยังไม่ช่วยให้สถานการณ์ของ RCom ดีขึ้น

ย้อนกลับไปเมื่อปี 2013 RCom ได้ทำข้อตกลงกับ Ericsson โดยจ้างให้ Ericsson มาเป็นผู้บริหารเครือข่ายในบริเวณทางเหนือและตะวันตกของอินเดีย แต่ผลจากการขาดทุนต่อเนื่องก็ทำให้ RCom ไม่มีเงินจ่ายให้ Ericsson ตั้งแต่ปี 2016

RCom ติดหนี้ Ericsson 2.46 พันล้านบาท ซึ่ง RCom ก็ไม่สามารถจ่ายหนี้ได้ตามกำหนด และขอเลื่อนเวลาการจ่ายหนี้ออกไปเรื่อย ๆ ซึ่งสุดท้ายแล้ว RCom จ่ายหนี้ได้เพียง 528 ล้านบาท นำไปสู่การถูกฟ้องร้องในเวลาต่อมา

ศาลสูงสุดจึงมีคำตัดสินว่า ถ้าภายใน 1 เดือน RCom ยังจ่ายหนี้ให้ Ericsson ไม่ได้ Anil จะต้องถูกจำคุก 3 เดือน

สุดท้ายแล้วพี่ชายของ Anil Ambani อย่าง Mukesh ก็เข้ามาช่วย
โดยการจ่ายหนี้ที่เหลือ มูลค่ากว่า 2 พันล้านบาทให้
ในขณะที่ บริษัท RCom ก็ต้องยื่นล้มละลาย

แต่เรื่องราวยังไม่จบแค่นั้น เพราะ RCom ยังมีหนี้ก้อนใหญ่อีกก้อน ที่กู้ยืมมาจาก 3 ธนาคารขนาดใหญ่ของจีน ทั้ง ICBC, China Development Bank และ EXIM Bank of China เป็นมูลค่า 2.3 หมื่นล้านบาท

ทั้ง 3 ธนาคารจึงยื่นฟ้อง RCom และ Anil Ambani..

ช่วงต้นปี 2020 ที่ผ่านมา ซึ่ง Anil ได้พูดระหว่างพิจารณาคดีออนไลน์กับศาลของประเทศอังกฤษว่า เขาไม่มีเงินใช้หนี้ เพราะความมั่งคั่งของเขาตอนนี้ใกล้จะเป็นศูนย์แล้ว.. ซึ่งจนถึงตอนนี้ยังไม่มีข้อมูลแน่ชัดว่าเขาจะหาเงินจากไหนมาใช้หนี้

จากความขัดแย้งเพื่อแย่งกิจการกันเองในครอบครัว บวกกับการบริหารธุรกิจที่ผิดพลาด การทุ่มเงินลงทุนขนาดใหญ่แต่ได้ผลลัพธ์แย่กว่าที่คาด ทำให้บริษัทก่อหนี้ก้อนโต

ทั้งหมดนี้ก็ได้ส่งผลไปยังทรัพย์สินของผู้ที่เคยรวยติดอันดับ 6 ของโลกอย่าง Anil Ambani ได้หายไปเกือบหมด ในขณะที่พี่ชายที่เติบโตมาพร้อมกัน กลับเดินสวนทางกัน เพราะประสบความสำเร็จในธุรกิจอย่างต่อเนื่อง จนกลายเป็นเศรษฐี ที่ร่ำรวยที่สุดในเอเชีย นั่นเอง

ถ้าใครเชื่อว่าชีวิตของเราถูกกำหนดมาแล้วตั้งแต่เกิด
เกิดมาในครอบครัวที่รวย ก็ย่อมมีแรงส่งให้พวกเขารวยขึ้น
ซึ่งมันก็เป็นจริงในหลายกรณี
แต่ในบางกรณี มันก็อาจเป็นตรงกันข้าม
ซึ่งอย่างน้อย มันก็เกิดขึ้นแล้วกับ Anil Ambani น้องชายของ มหาเศรษฐี ที่รวยสุดในเอเชีย นั่นเอง..

Hello everyone,

I love being a Youtuber. I love the freedom it gives me and appreciate the connection it gives me to my ever-so-supportive audience. I began the channel 4 years ago and never imagined it would be more than a small hobby or side project that I would do in my spare time in order to allow my son in South Africa, William, to watch his Daddy sharing his Life in Taiwan with him and anyone else who wants to watch.

I have been so blessed that although the channel and myself have had some ups and downs over the years, the channel has grown to a size where I feel that I am now able to offer somebody the opportunity to join me and share the journey I am taking through the Youtube world. For 4 years, over countless hours I have created 300 videos and grown to the channel to a quarter of a million subscribers all by myself. Video conception, writing, planning, producing, filming, editing, subtitling and re-editing have all been done by myself with the occasional welcome assistance from friends who have stepped in when I have required help. Thank you to everyone who has helped me get to this point.

However, it has recently become apparent that I need help. The constant strive for ideas and pressure to create interesting, watchable videos has pushed me to the limit of what one person can do in order to provide the best content for the viewers here in Taiwan and around the world. This is in addition to the fact that as a foreigner in Taiwan, I often find myself needing the help of a Taiwanese person to prevent making some basic mistakes that would otherwise go unnoticed.

Therefore, in order to show you a higher level of content and better quality videos, I have decided to invite an intern to join me! 💪

What kind of person am I looking for?
- Those who are interested in marketing, film creativity, script writing and filming. Students studying in these fields are also welcome.
- Those who usually watch youtube videos and understand the Youtube space
- Those who have lived or studied overseas or have cross-cultural experience are preferred
- Those able to communicate fluently in English
- Those who want to know more about the YouTube space and accumulate experience in the social media field
- Somebody who wants to learn more about the video creation process and develop their skills in video production
- Somebody in Taichung City

- Help with writing video scripts
- Assist in filming and production.

i’ve been on a ghibli marathon lately so i decided to do a little vlog aesthetically inspired by these films. And i think this could be my favourite vlog that I have done to date!

P/s - the book i read on hygge was called 'The Little Book of Hygge - The Danish Way to Live Well'. I absolutely recommend reading this book, will definitely shape your perspective into living more holistically :)
