Describe a special day that made you happy
You should say:

What you did
And explain why it made you happy
I would like to describe a day off last week that I had a real blast with my friends.
You know, I’m up to my ears in work weekdays, and sometimes I try to get the right work-life balance and be on an intimate term with my friends. So, last week, when we had a national holiday, a day off work, I decided to hang out with my friends and have a picnic at Ecopark – a green park on the outskirts of Hanoi.
We planned this picnic in advance, and each member was supposed to prepare some snacks, drinks, tents, or umbrellas. I still remember vividly that it was a glorious morning and the birds were chirping merrily in the trees. We reached the picnic spot within an one-hour drive and enjoyed the remaining day there.
The special thing in this picnic was that my friends and I were all accompanied by our partner and a kid. So, while the kids played together, we sipped a cup of coffee and spent the whole day in idle chit-chat. Sometimes I was reminded of unforgettable memories in the past and laughed happily. And you can guess, we had a BBQ right in the park, under the shadow of many big trees, which was an experience that I had never had before. With a nice and cozy atmosphere, snacks and drinks all seemed to be tastier.
Spending time with friends like this is a great way to recharge my batteries after busy days as well as to have fun. That’s why I really yearn for more picnics or hangouts.

Chúng tôi đã lên kế hoạch cho chuyến dã ngoại này từ trước, mỗi thành viên phải chuẩn bị một số đồ ăn nhẹ, đồ uống, lều hoặc ô. Tôi vẫn còn nhớ rất rõ đó là một buổi sáng rất đẹp và những chú chim đang ríu rít vui vẻ trên cây. Chúng tôi đến điểm dã ngoại trong một giờ lái xe và tận hưởng ngày còn lại ở đó.
Điều đặc biệt trong buổi dã ngoại này là tôi và bạn bè đều được đi cùng với chồng và con cái. Vì vậy, trong khi bọn trẻ chơi với nhau, chúng tôi nhâm nhi một tách cà phê và dành cả ngày để chém gió. Đôi khi tôi được nhắc về những kỷ niệm khó quên trong quá khứ và cười một cách vui vẻ. Và bạn có thể đoán ra, chúng tôi đã tổ chức một buổi tiệc nướng BBQ ngay trong công viên, dưới bóng nhiều cây lớn, đó là một trải nghiệm mà tôi chưa từng có. Với một bầu không khí đẹp và ấm cúng như vậy thì đồ ăn và đồ uống dường như trở nên ngon hơn rất nhiều.
Dành thời gian với bạn bè như thế này là một cách tuyệt vời để nạp lại năng lượng sau những ngày bận rộn cũng như để tận hưởng niềm vui. Đó là lý do tại sao tôi thực sự khao khát có nhiều buổi dã ngoại hoặc đi chơi nhiều hơn như vậy.

1. Let’s talk about where you live, do you live in a house or in a flat?

I’m living in Hanoi, in a studio apartment right now. It’s quite spacious compared to the last room that I lived in, also it has a small balcony which overlooks a lovely lake, it’s pretty nice.

2. How long have you been living there?

More than one year. I just moved in this place right after I graduated because the last room was quite small, and it would become scorching hot in the summer because there was no air conditioner there, which is crazy right? And besides my new place is always teeming with sunlight, I really love living there.

3. What do you like about the area around where you live?

What I like about that area is that it is a suburb, quite close to the center, and it’s absolutely lively, you know. I think it’s also a handy place to live too because there are many grocery stores and a busy market. But at night the place becomes really tranquil, that’s just what I need after a long tiring day at work.

4. Are you planning to move to another area to live?

Well. recently I’ve visited Ho Chi Minh city to see some of my relatives, and that’s the most amazing city that I’ve ever been to, apart from Hanoi. So perhaps, I would love to move there someday, you know, to change it up a little bit.

On February 29th, 2012, my wife Minami was set to join the second national tour of Mary Poppins. This was her first Equity Production contract which is a big milestone for any actor. We decided to celebrate with a nice sushi dinner on Manhattan's East Side.

Seated at the sushi bar, there was only one other person a few seats away. It became apparent that the woman at the end of sushi bar was a regular of the restaurant and had known the sushi chef for decades, but there was a language barrier. Gradually, Minami started to translate allowing these old friends to communicate more fully.

Soon, we were ordering a la carte and sharing sushi recommendations. Asked if she'd like sushi or sashimi, it was always sashimi. "Rice makes you fat!" She said emphatically.

As we dined, she mentioned coming back from the west coast and how concerned she was about Bobby-Kristina after the death of Whitney Houston among other polite conversation.

As the evening was coming to a natural conclusion, we shared that Minami was heading on the road and I was playing trumpet for the broadway run of Porgy and Bess. She said, "My husband was a trumpet player."

"Oh really?" I replied. Still not realizing to whom I was speaking, I said, "You know, it's a small world. What was his name? Perhaps I have heard of him."

"Miles Davis." She said with a little smile.

My mind started to race through the pages of the Miles Davis autobiography I read in college. This was Cicely Tyson I shockingly realized. Her west coast trip was for the awards season for the movie "The Help." Her concern about Whitney's daughter wasn't because she was a fan, she was family.

I did my best to try to regain my composure even admitting to her "There are a thousand things I'd like to ask you, but I'm trying to be cool."

Minami and I grabbed a cab back to our apartment while I replayed the dinner back in my head to make sure I hadn't said anything completely stupid.This was truly an "only in New York" type of story. I like to think that Ms. Tyson enjoyed having a conversation with us as regular people before revealing that she was royalty.

全国で有名なお弁当屋でお持ち帰り！『ほっともっと店』に伺いました。ほっともっと（HottoMotto）といえば「ほっかほっか亭」の持ち帰り弁当新ブランドとして平成20年にスタートした新業態の弁当屋さんです。創業者はもともと明治時代より食に関わる家系だそうで、食に対するこだわりをモットーにしています。「ほっともっと」は全国に約1500店舗ほどあり、持ち帰り弁当屋としては日本一の店舗数を誇っています。まさに弁当業界のパイオニアとも言えるお店で、久しぶりに唐揚げ弁当を買ってみました！
【今回の注文】・特から揚弁当 ６個入り（税込：454円）大きめの唐揚げが６つ入るボリューミーなお弁当。揚げたての唐揚げはジューシーな肉がポイント高い。ご飯とおかずが別に入ってくるスタイル。付け合わせのポテトサラダと漬物はデフォでほとんどの弁当に入ってくる。量がちょっと少ない気も。・チキン南蛮弁当（税込：463円）タルタルがすでにかかっている。肉が薄く、フリッターのような食感がもう少し唐揚げのようなガリッとした食感だともっとよかった。南蛮ソースの量が少ない。タルタルも別添えでもう少したっぷりあると良かったかも。別で添えられたご飯がやや柔らかめで雑に入っていたのでもう少し丁寧に盛り付けて欲しかった。

Tartar is already on. It was even better if the meat was thin and the fritter-like texture had a slightly more fried texture. The amount of nanban sauce is small. It might have been nice if there was a little more tartar as well. The rice that was served separately was a little soft and miscellaneous, so I wanted you to serve it a little more carefully.
