《90年後看羅素》
如果中學的時候可以多一點宗教辯論和哲學introduction就好了，就像吧自己大學時在圖書館感受到的euphoria提早個7年之類，也學在入大學前已經博覽classics。說少壯不努力嗎？少壯時很努力，如果當時有往intellectual的方向更深閱讀就好了，這畢竟要靠外力，老師很盡責，就是沒有奇葩來推我hahaha。所以自己現在一有機會推人就推人。我不是很厲害的學者or作家，只是每次想到年幼時候的遺憾，總想用不同方法嘗試拯救自己。
以下小小一個chapter 1終結Bertrand Russell對於Christianity／信神的看法，那個年代寫出的東西很前衛。不過當然有Weber等人說宗教（更準確來說是protestanism）推動現代化和經濟，而modernisation也讓更多城市人心靈空虛，也許更依賴宗教or mysticism。
當年如果有課能夠辯論多好。

“We want to stand upon our own feet and look fair and square at the world -- its good facts, its bad facts, its beauties, and its ugliness; see the world as it is and be not afraid of it. Conquer the world by intelligence and not merely by being slavishly subdued by the terror that comes from it. The whole conception of God is a conception derived from the ancient Oriental despotisms. It is a conception quite unworthy of free men. When you hear people in church debasing themselves and saying that they are miserable sinners, and all the rest of it, it seems contemptible and not worthy of self-respecting human beings. It needs a fearless outlook and a free intelligence. It needs hope for the future, not looking back all the time toward a past that is dead, which we trust will be far surpassed by the future that our intelligence can create.
