International Day for Biological Diversity 2020
為左提高大眾保育意識，聯合國定落每年5月22號做「生物多樣性國際日」，今年特別提倡效法自然之道，鼓勵人抱緊希望，團結創造更加好嘅將來，而呢個日子都提醒緊我地世界本質上嘅美好同多元。26個種類嘅雀仔個個唔同樣，外表聲音習性各有特色，佢地嘅差異亦都組合成熱鬧嘅生態，因為世界本來就應該咁。
To raise the public awareness on conservation, the United Nations have designated 22nd of May as 'International Day for Biological Diversity', and this year's theme is 'our solution is in nature', emphasising hope, solidarity and the importance of working together to build a future of life in harmony with nature. This day is to remind us that the very nature of our world is good and diverse. 26 kinds of birds all look different, they are all unique, and it is this combination of uniqueness that makes Hong Kong and this world biologically diverse, as this world should be.

【動物園夜間延長開放~觀察「夜貓子」絕佳時機！】
明天（8/4）是一年一度的「國際貓頭鷹意識日International Owl Awareness Day」。貓頭鷹是鴞形目鳥類的泛稱，全世界約有200種，近年來由於飼養貓頭鷹當作寵物的風氣意外盛行，部分亞洲地區不當的捕捉與非法販售，使得部分種類的貓頭鷹野外族群已瀕臨滅絕。臺北市立動物園目前共照養了黃魚鴞、褐林鴞及領角鴞等三種臺灣本土的貓頭鷹，牠們不約而同都有遭逢劫難卻幸運存活的生命歷程，期望透過牠們的故事，能讓民眾對貓頭鷹有更多的認識與了解，歡迎大家把握臺北市立動物園暑期夜間延長開放的機會，拜訪這三個可愛的貓頭鷹家族。
