Mayflies, the most ancient insect specie. I remember watching them as a kid by the riverside, thinking how much they look like fairies. After learning that the adults barely live for more than a day, the female die 5 minutes after laying eggs, I became even more fascinated by them. This piece is a celebration of Mayflies’ fleeting beauty and my reminiscence of this childhood memory.
