Forty Chances: Finding Hope in a Hungry World หนังสือที่เขียนขึ้นโดยลูกของ Warren Buffett ที่มีชื่อว่า Howard Buffett
Each of us has about 40 chances to accomplish our goals in life. I learned this first through agriculture because all farmers can expect to have about 40 growing seasons, giving them just 40 chances to improve on every harvest.

(Day 30 of #ProverbsHesedWisdomChallenge to read a chapter from the Book of Proverbs each day which corresponds to the date as suggested by Pastor Joseph Prince in 7 Jan 2018’s Vision Sunday sermon -
http://www.miltongoh.net/miltons-blog/the-year-of-hesed-wisdom-vision-sunday-new-creation-church-theme-of-the-year-2018 ):
The ant is diligent and has initiative - it knows that it has to work consistently to prepare for the future.
It doesn’t procrastinate or wait until the last minute to prepare its provisions.
That’s the practical life wisdom we can learn from the ant.
“Go to the ant, O lazy one; Observe her ways and be wise, Which, having no chief, Overseer or ruler, She prepares her food in the summer And brings in her provisions [of food for the winter] in the harvest. How long will you lie down, O lazy one? When will you arise from your sleep [and learn self-discipline]?” (PROVERBS 6:6-9 AMP)
These 7 traits best describe the devil. The first sinful trait described is linked to the sin of pride.
That’s the sin that caused Lucifer’s fall to become the devil today.
“These six things the LORD hates; Indeed, seven are repulsive to Him: A proud look [the attitude that makes one overestimate oneself and discount others], a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that creates wicked plans, Feet that run swiftly to evil, A false witness who breathes out lies [even half-truths], And one who spreads discord (rumors) among brothers.” (PROVERBS 6:16-19 AMP)
We are to listen to the godly teachings of our parents, but not if they are worldly teachings.
“My son, be guided by your father’s [God-given] commandment (instruction) And do not reject the teaching of your mother; Bind them continually upon your heart (in your thoughts), And tie them around your neck. When you walk about, they (the godly teachings of your parents) will guide you; When you sleep, they will keep watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you.” (PROVERBS 6:20-22 AMP)
When the devil (the thief who comes to steal, kill and destroy) robs you of something good in your life, he has to repay 7 times the value of what was stolen from you.
God will restore you 7 times as much for your losses - believe God for that and be excited to receive it!
“People do not despise a thief if he steals To satisfy himself when he is hungry; But when he is found, he must repay seven times [what he stole]; He must give all the property of his house [if necessary to meet his fine].” (PROVERBS 6:30-31 AMP)

Salam. Kalau boleh saya ni nak pesan sikit pada mereka yang mencari pekerjaan, especially fresh graduates dan pada mereka yang beruntung kerana masih lagi mempunyai pekerjaan.
To begin with, please DO NOT ask what any particular company can offer and do for you. As an applicant/employess, YOU should be the one offering what YOU can bring to the table to better enhance the company's growth, performance, etc. in order to be hired and continue to be employed. Afterall, YOU are the one seeking a job for a reward (salary + bonuses + increment), plus something to be added to your almost-blank resumé. Don't be too caught-up by your basic diploma/first degree/MBA/MA/MSc and mere 'experience' and think that the whole world is after you. Be a graduate with substance and values that a company should not pass, contribute to its well-being so that you may grow with the company and harvest the 'fruits' together.
Many current and/or potential staff always complain about the company being 'bad' here and there but many fail to realize that a company hires an employee(s) because it has 'problems' need solving, hence the hiring. Should the company is running well and perfect, YOU (who are suppose to offer & perform a set of high quality skills & knowledge to make it much better) will never be needed in the first place, correct?
So jangan hanya pandai complain when there are problems. Ask yourself what have you done to correct the wrongs and perfect it. Companies do not need a bunch of whiners but instead they need WINNERS. Have some dignity, own the problems and play an active role to solve them....as a team.
So adik-adik, anak-anak dan cucu-cicit semua, ingat pesanan penaja ni. Jangan sesekali kita fefeeling bagus kerana kalau kita dah terlalu bagus, Facebook, Microsoft, and all other Fortune 500 company CEOs would have been on their private jets long ago coming to whisk you away, ye tak? Hahahahahahhaha.....
Having said that, I'm looking for talented & tak-so-perasan individuals for the following positions:
1. Accounts cum Admin Clerk/Executive
2. Business Development/Special Projects Manager
3. Government Liaison Officer
4. Operations Manager
5. HR Executive
All applicants for these positions must be success-driven, fully-motivated, ready for challenges, energetic, positive attitude, hungry for 'numbers' and no nonsense. If you think you fit the bill, please update your resume as professional as you can with an enticing cover letter and send them to: Admin@silverspoon.edu.my
Selamat maju jaya! 😀💪💪💉💉

Osechi-Ryori is traditional Japanese New Year's food eaten during the first three days of the New Year. Each dishes that make up Osechi-Ryori has a special meaning celebrating the New Year (such as good health, fertility, good harvest, happiness, long life, etc...) and those dishes can last for a couple of days in the refrigerator or at cool room temperature in winter. Usually, they are served in jyubako (重箱: three-tiered bento boxes). In the first tier, we serve colorful festive dishes such as shrimp, black beans, sweet chestnuts, etc... In the second tier we serve sunomono (pickled dishes) and yakimono (grilled dishes). And in the third tier, we serve nimono (simmered dish) called Nishime (simmered Japanese vegetables).
Traditionally, we spend few days to prepare Osechi but I always spend few hours to complete mine. I use ready-made dishes for sweet dishes since my darling doesn't eat a lot and cook the non-sweet ones at home.
So, this is my darling's favorite Nishime recipe for the third tier :) I use frozen Japanese vegetables to save time and money.
For the seasoning, I used Yamasa's Konbu Tsuyu (3 times concentrated Konbu kelp seaweed soup stock) which is tasty and convenient. I'm sure it is available overseas at Asian grocery stores.
With just a little extra effort decoratively cutting vegetables, it become gorgeous, so try to make it fancy ;)
In the end of the video, I will show you my Osechi-Ryori from past years! Don't miss them!
I hope you all enjoy :D
