Spending months #stayingathome has given me times to watch lots of Netflix shows (no surprise 😂). Some of them are actually a pretty strong reminder how we as humans have polluted the only earth we’ve got 🙈and we gotta DO SOMETHING about it! 💪

Richard & I have been making small steps towards protecting the earth, including:
- Taking reusable bags to the store/grocery shop
- Using less single-use plastic, like bringing our own bottle when travelling
- Renting clothes instead of buying (the one you see in the picture was rented from @styletheory)
- Eating less meat
- Using water wisely
- Being mindful about energy (like turning off lights when leaving the room)
But I think there are plenty of other things we can do.

In the midst of all the incoming covid-19☢ chaos, many of you would be wondering how is a small Malaysian peanut butter🥜 brand like us doing. Frankly and thankfully we’re doing much better than a lot of other businesses. We have support from many many many kind Malaysians capable of loving like mother Theresa.👩‍❤‍👨🙏😇

⛈SAD NEWS : WE’RE RUNNING OUT OF STOCK, OPTIONS & RESOURCES…

Due to the lockdown, all of our suppliers have closed down. Suppliers for the raw peanuts, glass bottles, label stickers, boxes, you named it they closed it. We tried many options and wanted to collaborate and help out all the other desperate SME’s like us. Unfortunately, despair was the only thing we saw in their eyes 👀as some silently count the days to their demise…It made us think, ARE WE NEXT? 💔☠🙈

🗣(MUSIC) IT’S THE FINAL COUNTDOWNNNNN 🎶🎶🎶

In all desperation we have come up with a solution, a last resort, the season finale. We will be running a pre-order only for all our peanut butter for the next 45 days 📆

That’s true and we perfectly understand by now if you wish to stop reading and leave, but if you have not…the reason is very simple. As greedy as a fat-well-suited-capitalistic-businessman🐖, we need sales aka money💰 more than ever before. Every dollar and every cent we will have to find a way to get it from anyone we can find. By doing a 45 days preorder it'll help us keep afloat and negotiate better ways to deliver and fulfilling orders faster before we "meet our maker"!

They; like you, have dreams and fears of their own, they pay their taxes and bills, like you they need money to survive (sorry for being so realistic and materialistic but that’s the brutal truth 😢).

So I decided make my third single with all English lyrics. To me, Elnglish is more than just a language, but also a sound, a tone, a tone I like to use in my music. Every language delivers its unique tonal vibe. 

I’ve been so used to producing pop music with prosper industry standards, knowing what to expect of the final product from the star. Not trying to break new ground or anything, but I purposely make choices that I wouldn’t make just for the sake of leaving myself behind. Not worrying about radio-friendly-ness, just purely what I feel at the moment. Pretty self-centered approach I know. 

Lyrically this song appears like a downer and I like how it ironically conflicts with the lively-ness of music. This may be a result of consuming too much of those Netflix moody dark contents. 

I’m not sure what you will get out of this new single, but I know I got my fix.

ABOUT EDEN KAI:
With millions of fans around the world, Eden Kai has earned his reputation as being a ukulele and guitar virtuoso, a Pop/R&B vocalist, and an accomplished actor. While many were first introduced to Eden when he joined the cast of Netflix and Fuji Television’s Terrace House: Aloha State, the young star’s success had already been years in the making. He has since gone on to make additional appearances on Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020, appeared on Shiro to Kiiro on Amazon Prime and has performed at the Fuji Rock Festival (the largest outdoor music festival in Japan), Nisei Week Festival in Little Tokyo, OC Japan Fair and ANA Honolulu Music Week in Waikiki. Eden’s accomplishments have earned him interviews by NBC News and The Yomiuri Shinbun (the world’s most circulated newspaper).

His most recent album, Home Sweet Home, released in 2018 and was recorded in Tokyo, Japan, produced by his music label in Japan Victor Entertainment. Three tracks from that album were featured in episodes of Netflix Japan’s Terrace House during the show’s Opening New Doors and Tokyo 2019-2020 seasons. The series also featured Eden’s instrumental compositions of “Touch the Sky” and “Feel the Earth.” “Monogatari” was his debut pop vocal single, which he wrote and performed on the show. That music, as well as Eden’s past album releases, can be heard on all major streaming services and is available for purchase on Eden’s official website, www.EdenKai.com.

In addition to working on his own music, Eden has collaborated with some of the world’s top artists and producers, including EXILE and Dream. One of his compositions was used to create “Anuenue,” a hit J-Pop single recorded and released by Dance Earth Party, which landed at #11 on the Oricon Music Charts in Japan.

Eden also recognizes the importance of using his music to help others. He has hosted several ukulele workshops in Honolulu and Japan, been the featured performer at the Waikiki Spam Jam, benefiting the largest non-profit in Hawaii that feeds the needy, and the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival from which proceeds helped local children in the community. Eden has donated proceeds from some of his songs to assist humanitarian causes, including the support of a health center in Haiti and the purchase of educational materials for children in Bangladesh.
