【我懷念的】I MISS YOU

在為這星期的影片做研究時，找到這一張新加坡舊照。看到這些阿姨們的穿著，憶起我的「嬤嬤」（太婆），她以前也只穿這樣的衣服。
嬤嬤是香港人，來新加坡後曾當紅頭巾多年。可能這個緣故，我娘家的女人個個都是「女兒當自強」，我當然也不例外。😁
很多國外觀眾聽我的口音，以為我是台灣人，其實我應該是有六分之一香港/廣州那裡的血統。😅
夜已深，突然很想念婆婆和太婆⋯⋯
有些親情一輩子都不會忘記，但我的人比較實在。
與其感情用事，我還是為祖先報名師尊在4月5日（美國時間）主持的「四臂觀音」和「地藏王菩薩」超度法會，祈求他們能夠業消福增，往生淨土。
我很怀念她們，但我更渴望她們能夠從輪迴之苦中解脫，不用再輪迴苦無休。
她們教會我如何自力更生，成為一個獨立自由的女性。現在輪到我幫助她們鬆脫業力的束縛，得到真正的自由。

While doing research for this week’s video, I stumbled onto this old photo of Singapore. As I looked at the clothing of the aunties, I was reminded of my great- grandmother.
She used to wear only such clothing.
Great-grandmother was from Hong Kong and worked as a Samsui woman for many years when she arrived in Singapore. Perhaps because of this, all the women in my family are very strong and independent. I am of course no exception. 😁
Many of my Youtube audience assumed I am a Taiwanese from my accent. Actually, I probably have one-sixth lineage from Hong Kong/Canton. 😅
The night is long and I can’t help but miss my grandmother and great grandmother.
There are some family relations that we will never forget no matter how big we are.
But I’m a pragmatist. Instead of getting all emotional about my past, I will go register my ancestors for my Grandmaster’s upcoming Puja of Four-Armed Avalokiteśvara Bdihisattva and Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva this Sunday (USA time).
I pray for their negative karma to be eradicated, their blessedness to be increased and that they will be reborn in the Pureland of Western Paradise.
I miss them but I wish even more that they can be liberated from the sufferings of this secular world, and never have to go through birth and death ever again. They taught me how to be free as an adult by being independent. Now is my turn to help them be free from karmic shackles.
