ปกติแล้ว เกมควรจะได้รับการอัปเดตและปรับปรุงแก้ไขบั๊กภายในเกมอยู่อย่างสม่ำเสมอ

แต่กับ Heroes of the Storm ที่เหมือนจะถูกทาง Blizzard เททิ้งไว้กลางทางนี้ ค่อนข้างจะน่าเจ็บปวดสำหรับคนที่ยังเล่นอยู่เสียจริง โดยในฟอรั่มของ Blizzard นั้น มีผู้เล่นคนหนึ่งไปแจ้งบั๊กที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อการเล่นอย่างมาก

โดยบั๊กดังกล่าวนี้ เกิดขึ้นเมื่อเล่นเกมนี้บน Apple M1 Macs ซึ่งคาดว่าน่าจะเป็นปัญหาการเชื่อมโยงตัวเกมกับชิปของ Apple M1 ซึ่งทำให้ผู้เล่นไม่สามารถเห็นเอฟเฟคท์ต่าง ๆ บนพื้นได้เลย เช่นจุดตกของสกิล เคอร์เซอร์ หรือ Objective อื่น ๆ

ผู้เล่นคนนี้ได้โพสท์แจ้งบั๊กไปตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน 2020 หรือราว ๆ 8 เดือนที่แล้ว แต่จนปัจจุบัน บั๊กตัวนี้ก็ยังคงไม่ได้รับการแก้ไขใด ๆ ทั้งสิ้น บ่งบอกได้ชัดว่าแม้เกมนี้จะยังไม่ถึงกับตาย แต่ก็ไม่ต่างอะไรกับผู้ป่วยโคม่า รอวันถอดเครื่องช่วยหายใจเท่านั้น เพราะเกมก็ไมไ่ด้มีอัปเดตใด ๆ มานานพอสมควรแล้ว

Heroes of the Storm คือเกมแนว Battle Brawler (เหมือน MOBA แต่ไม่ยอมเรียกว่า MOBA) ของ Blizzard ที่รวมเอาตัวละครจากจักรวาลเกม Blizzard อย่าง Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, Overwatch มารวมตัวกัน แต่เกมค่อย ๆ ขาดการอัปเดตและมีปัญหาเรื้อรังมาเรื่อย ๆ

ใครที่ยังเล่นอยู่ตอนนี้ก็อาจจะต้องทำใจรอดูประกาศสำคัญปิดเกมเข้าสักวัน หรืออาจจะมีอะไรเข้าไปดลใจให้ Blizzard กลับมาชุบชีวิตเกมนี้ขึ้นอีกครั้ง อะไรก็เป็นไปได้ทั้งสิ้น
