你大概已經聽說AIT即將要搬新家，但你可知道AIT新館立志要取得LEED綠建築銀級認證？LEED代表的是「領先能源和環境設計」(Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design)。獲得LEED認證的建築都是高效能綠建築，耗用較少的水，並且達到節能減碳的目的。AIT新館對環境友善的設計，是源自於美國國務院的「綠色外交行動」。綠色外交行動從建築設計開始，一直到行為表現。AIT的目標是要降低我們整體的環境足跡、降低成本，並且確保永續發展。慶祝地球日，接下來幾天，AIT要和大家分享新館一些綠建築的特色喔。(照片為AIT內湖新館一隅) #AIT新館 #LEED #GreenBuilding #EarthDay2018
You have probably heard that we are moving to Neihu soon, but have you heard our building is on target to be LEED Silver Certified? LEED stands for “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.” LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient, use less water and energy, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The new AIT building’s environmentally friendly design is thanks to the Green Diplomacy Initiative of the U.S. Department of State. The Green Diplomacy Initiative starts from building design and ends with behavior. AIT intends to reduce our overall environmental footprint, cut costs, and ensure sustainability.
