The South Taipei Globe. The Red Room Rendezvous 紅房餐酒館 restaurant, bar and exhibition space is at the center. Keelung Road runs through the middle leading to a distant 101. This piece will be hung at Red Room so as soon as indoor dining is possible go check it out! Until then they have some tasty food online!
I'll put some close-ups up later this week. It's been fun making this and trying something big in this perspective. Trying to translate a real place into a sphere and get everything to scale was a huge challenge. I don't think I've ever erased and re-drawn so much since the Tianmu Panorama last year! I'm thinking one centered on the Tainan Circle or central Keelung would look cool. At the moment though I'm waiting on confirmation from two projects before I start anything new!

Showing some love to one of our favourite, literal hole-in-the-walls Mexican joints in Asoke, who last year, had made an extension to their space to accommodate an intimate dining room and mezcal bar!Unfortunately, the anticipated opening came crashing down once COVID—19 restaurant restrictions began and are yet to cease. But this has no negative affect of their awesome Mexican comfort dishes at the hands of the wild child Chef, Chef Colin Stevens.
We're absolutely committed to the tostadas every time we go. The crunchy tortillas are made in house of course and are a entire meal in themselves when you see the amount of marinated meats, salsas and fresh vegetables that are piled on.. And for the price!? It's feels a bit like you're cheating them.
Don't, and I mean, don't you dare go past their 'Papas Con Chorizo' and if there's room, their Enchiladas Verdes. Another interesting foodie fact, Chef Colin whose renowned for his passion for authentic produce, that apart from making all the salsas from scratch, grows his own organic jalepenos and serves them lacto fermented and raw in various dishes and can even sell them to you direct!
Support your local, independent restaurants and take the time to talk to the Chefs. I'm sure in this case, there's probably nothing that Chef Colin can't informatively and humoursly answer you about, when discussing the mysterious and not so mysterious wonders of Mexican cuisine and also seafood.

まだまだ奥深い町中華の世界！神奈川県鎌倉市大船『味喜』に伺いました。大船駅の東口から徒歩でおよそ4分ほど、昭和の雰囲気が残る中華料理店です。ラーメン、餃子、チャーハンなどの中華定番からカレーライス、オムライス、カツカレーなどのごはん類も揃う、食堂の要素もある昔ながらの町中華。どこか懐かしい雰囲気の中で「今日は何を食べようか」と考えるのも楽しいですね。初訪問のお店、その様子から早速ご覧ください！

The world of Chinese food, which is still deep! We visited Ofuna “Ajiyoshi” in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. About 4 minutes on foot from the east exit of Ofuna station, it is a Chinese restaurant in the Ofuna Nakadori shopping street that retains the atmosphere of the Showa era. Traditional Chinese town with a dining room element, with traditional Chinese food such as ramen, dumplings, and fried rice, as well as rice such as curry rice, omelet rice, and cutlet curry. It's fun to think "what to eat today" in a nostalgic atmosphere. Please take a look at the shop you visited for the first time!

A Chinese restaurant in the town where you can hang out and enjoy yourself! We visited "Kairaku" in Kamakura City, Kanagawa Prefecture. It is a Chinese restaurant with a bitter appearance right after getting off the Enoshima Electric Railway "Inamuragasaki Station". There is a showcase with food samples in front of the store, and when you pass through the goodwill with the store name, you will find a calm interior. .. In addition to Chinese soba and fried rice, traditional dining room menus such as soba and udon curry and tempura are lined up. Please take a look at the first visit to Chinese food!
