Woohoo! We are featured in 联合早报 today! This time, the interview topic is on household chores and how to get the kids involved from a young age.
I've always emphasised to the kids that chores are a part of their responsibility at home. It doesn't matter how old they are or whether it's during exam period; there is no excuse and no reason for not helping out at all.
This article talks about how we delegate the tasks, how I don't believe in giving rewards, how it is important to find out the kids' interests and build up their willingness to help out, and how chores can help us bond closer as a family. Have a happy Sunday, people! ❤

Delegate responsibility to stop stagnation.

At a planning retreat this morning, I told public sector leaders that a good public service is critical to maintaining public trust in our system, and reminded them of our commitment to serve and improve the lives of Singaporeans.
The public service must always see things from the viewpoint of those we serve, and stay in close touch with the ground. We expect our frontline service staff to give good and courteous service to the public. Of course the public should also be proper and courteous in return.
We have zero tolerance for corruption. Public service leaders are personally responsible for upholding high standards of integrity in their organisations. They cannot delegate this responsibility to subordinates.
Thank you to all public servants for your hard work. I look forward to continue working with you to build a better Singapore. - LHL
