We borrowed $90 million💰 from Kwun Yam today! (Kwun Yam gave us $280,000,000 二億八千萬 last year😞)
The Goddess of Mercy (Kwun Yam #觀音) opens her treasury to everyone today (the 26th day of the Lunar New Year 正月廿六 ) #觀音開庫 ! And we borrowed $90 million from her in the Mong Kok Shui Yuet Kung Temple (旺角水月宮). This is what locals do on every 26th day of a new year:
1. Buy a set of paper clothes for Kwun Yam (觀音衣), incenses and paper offerings
2. Offer the incense and different offerings to Kwun Yam and tell Kwun Yam your wishes in this year.
3. Get the “cheque” (the small red paper in the photo states the amount of money you get) from the “bank of Goddess of Mercy” (觀音庫房) in the temple. The amount ranges from 30 million to 1 billion dollar!
4. Hit the bell and beat the drum for three times, and ... that is not the end ☝🏻
5. Make sure you return the money to Kwun Yam at the end of the year! (Just visit the temple again in the last month of the year and burn the “cheque” 💵)

【#SupportHKfootball】My Expat Friends, please support our non-profit crowdfunding project! If you could support us by making donation of small amount, we will have the resources to conduct a study on the state of Hong Kong's football facilities and make use of such objective research findings to press the government for releasing more lands for football development!
▋Sponsor together (#Donate to football study):

//Following the successful campaign to preserve the Kitchee centre, Support HK Football now has a bigger ambition – to crowdfund HK$40,000 and recruit volunteers to conduct a study on the state of Hong Kong’s football facilities. Cooperating with the Polytechnic University, Chan said that Support HK Football will survey users at pitches across Hong Kong on every day of the week at different times. Ultimately, Chan wants to convince the government to replicate the Kitchee model across the city. “We want these facilities to be available at different districts and for different clubs.
..... Last year, Education University professor Brian Fong founded the WeMaker non-profit crowdfunding platform, through which Support HK Football will hope to gather resources. Fong believes that the process of speaking to amateur players will empower a community that may not be used to advocacy. “You might have expected there to be a democratic government which is accountable to the people and improve lives,” said Fong. “But if the government fails to do something, you can fix it within civil society – or lead the way in persuading the government to it… it’s a community service.”//

Xenia has found the love of her life, Dopey, after volunteering at a cat shelter for 4 months. However, romance always comes with obstacles. Will they conquer all odds to live happily ever after?
[Apologies in advance as Xenia sucks at differentiating gender, she has mistaken Dopey as a female.]
Here are ways you can help the abandoned cats:
1. Volunteer at Kitten Sanctuary
Must be able to commit 3 months (1x a week) or 12 shifts
Apply at https://kittensanctuarysg.org/volunteer/
2. Visit Kitten Sanctuary on the weekend
Note: This will only resume after circuit breaker.
$15 for hours of playtime with the kitties!
All proceeds help us keep a roof over their heads and fill their bellies with food.
3. Donate to Kitten Sanctuary
Pay a vet bill at give.asia/greedyssavealifefund
Sponsor a cat at kittensanctuarysg.org/donate
PayNow any amount to UEN 201911961H
Cheque Donations payable to: Kitten Sanctuary Singapore Limited (Mail to: 7137A North Bridge Road Singapore 198705)
Donations help sustain this non-profit organisation so we can rescue more cats in need
4. Adopt a cat
