國王湖因其清澈的湖水而聞名於世，聞說湖水之清澈，可供飲用。為了保持湖水清澈度，所以由1909年起，只允許電動船、手划船和腳踏船在湖中航行。

我們到訪國王湖的那天，我們一早起床，由Salzburg 搭了840巴士到達德國的Berchtesgaden，再轉乘842巴士（843巴士也可以喔）到達國王湖。還記得那天天氣十分炎熱，排隊購船票時，有點覺得快要被曬傷，夏天去國王湖的朋友緊記要帶防曬用品喔。

電動船慢慢的向着彼岸駛去，當船長把船開往駛至約至一半航程時，船長會把船停在湖中央，他走到船中央吹起喇叭，環環相扣的山脈為喇叭聲唱起二重奏來，回音在群山裏跌盪，遊人聽得入神。

小提示：如果你是旺季參觀國王湖的話，緊記預留足夠的時間回去搭巴士啊！由於船的班次不算密，而且人潮通常在St Bartholomew's Church那裏，所以，回程船要從Upper Lake那裏出發才會方便。 不過，錯過了尾班巴士的話，還可以乘坐火車會回去Salzburg的，但是路程會有點麻煩。

Königssee is famous for its water purity which the water claims to be drinkable. To preserve the water quality, Germany only allows electric boat or hand rowing boat to travel across the lake.

We woke up very early to travel to Königssee from Salzburg using 840 bus to arrive Berchtesgaden in Germany and then 841/843 bus to the lake. The weather in July was very shinny and we felt like getting sun burn just queening up for buying ticket. Therefore remeber to bring sufficient sun block product.

The electric boat would slowly ride to its desingation. When it was driven to halfway, the captain would park the boat in the middle of the lake, go to the center of the boat and blow a horn. As he blew the horn, the mountain at both side becomes a perfect reflector of the sound forming all rounded echos among you.

Little Tip: If you travel there in high season, you should be aware of the bus schedule. As the boat schedule is not freuqent and many visitors are at St Bartholomew's Church, you should leave from the Upper Lake to avoid the crowd. By the way, if you miss the last bus, you might still be back to Salzburg using train. Of course, that will be much more troubling.
