Exactly 3 Years ago, in August of 2018- we were on site for 3 days to complete construction, do an architectural photo shoot, shoot commercials, and do a ribbon cutting for our studio's revamp of @tokyotokyophilippines - a 30+ year old fast casual restaurant which has by that time exchanged ownership about three times. Our design was probably Version 4 or 5.
It was great. #jjacunabespokestudio was able to help them with their "lifestyle" concept- an upgrade off the base concept that's Targeted to today's consumers in their 20 and 30s. The main brief- refresh the brand-new our response- let's stop the "disneyfication" of Japan- and just start a new Spatial brand based on the essence of Japanese pop culture and aesthetics... Well with a sprinkle of blade runner.
For the franchisees who have to buy in a higher investment for the "lifestyle concept" - mainly due to imported materials and bespoke lighting et al- I hear that the ROI has been absolutely amazing. Well in non-covid years. - there's more to this story that was published in an interview with @fnbreport.

Longest session so far for this base phase.
Spent a total of 2 hr 30 min in the staircase and listened to 2 podcast while doing the session. It was a super productive session as I am able to learn from the speaker while walking up the stairs at a controlled pace.
Listened to @jayshetty On Purpose Podcast Ep 19. with @garyvee on how to stop caring what people think of you.
Take feedback with context from others. Understand where they coming from. Make sure they understand your conditions and what you are doing.
However, many people make decisions based on other people's opinion. In the end, they might regret of what they did because of it. Therefore, when you are confident on what you going to do, take it. Else you might be regret in the later stage of life.
Keep trying, and give your best effort on what you are trying to achieve.
Also listened to Talks at Google "Give and Take" by @adamgrant
Identify yourself whether you are a giver, matcher or a taker. Learn to say no at some point of time as you need to make progress on your important project. Learn to be a giver, perform up to at least five act of kindness everyday. It can be a small act of kindness as well. At this point of time, we need to take good care of our closed one.
Do take the action by giving a call or text them to have a check on their current situation. Hope everyone is doing well.

話說, 有日係 4月中旬, 同 Honbo 老細傾開偈. 佢叫我黎試下佢地一個嚟緊新出嘅 Burger 🍔. Made with a House made from scratch Hashbrown fried in Beef Tallow, 2 Home Grinded Smashed Beef patties with Caramelized Onions base, Heinz Ketchup, Cheese, and a secret Garlic based sauce coating on the Potato buns. And I was like WOW, this is seriously amongst the Best burger I have ever eaten in Hong Kong side by far.
So fast forward 1 month or more. This burger took over the entire month for Development & fine tuning, and here I was back again! 😬 Little did I know from my 2 visits, that this Specialty Burger is only being sold for 3 days from 28th to 30th May for now. Across all of their【Honbo outlets, Hong Kong 🇭🇰】. I sincerely hope, they keep this burger for real! 💯 It's freakingly good addictive!

For this video, we went down to a special kitchen to whip up a massive 7KG Collagen Ramen Challenge with the help of Chantalle Ng (@chantalleng)! Chantalle is the star of the Mediacorp drama My Star Bride, playing the titular role in the form of a Vietnamese bride. The collagen broth comes from her very own brand, Yuan Collagen, which she co-founded with her friend Minying. The collagen is chicken-based and is extremely high in protein (10g per 100ml) with half the number of calories of your average collagen broth. The noodles we used were also provided by Chantalle’s company, a type of homemade egg noodles.
After a quick cooking process and with the help of some pre-cooked ingredients, Chantalle assembled the final bowl of noodles. It consisted of 11 portions of noodles, char siew, eggs, pork dumplings, seaweed and fried chicken, topped up with a healthy amount of the Chicken Collagen broth. It came up to almost 7KG and even more broth was added towards the end of the challenge.
It was a rich, nutritious and hearty ramen meal that I did not struggle to complete. Naturally, it was different from your typical Japanese ramen broths – a lot more “chickeny” in flavour and much thicker. The pre-cooked items were decent.
The strength of such a broth base is its versatility. You could use it for any dish you can imagine that requires some form of liquid to be added, such as risotto or hotpots. The broth acts as a flavourful and nutritious base for you to develop your meal on. In a pinch, you could even use it to cook instant noodles!

さあ!モラトリアムを超えて、相反する2つの層が混ざります!
そこには一人の青年の葛藤があるのです!(もちよの脳内では)
こうやって混ざってく様子は、言わば人生の縮図です。
ああ……あっという間に混ざってしまいました…。
このスライムのミソは「混ざっても可愛い」というところです
クリアスライムに混ざっていたホログラムがいい味出してます
つまり、社会に迎合しても、青年の力強い個性は消えなかったのです!
という複雑な物語を考えながらこのスライムを作りました笑
素敵な個性のあるひとは、素敵な個性のある歯車になれる
歯車だとしても、自分らしくあれるなら悪くないじゃないか
私はこのことに気付いてからやっと就活を頑張る気になれました。

こちらはクリアベースのマイクロビーズスライムです。
ベース多めなので伸ばして遊びやすいです。
ビーズのおかげでバブル音が鳴りやすいです。
細かな粒々の感触はクセになる気持ちよさです。
手離れはビーズが落ちないギリギリを攻めました。
ですので「完璧にビーズは落ちません」とは言い切れません。
もしかしたら一粒か二粒くらい手に残る可能性があります。
その分いくらか手離れがよくなっているので、是非沢山遊んでいただきたいです!

This is a clear-based micro-foamed beads slime.

We headed down to Ramen Champion at Bugis+ to demolish a MASSIVE 12LB bowl of Tsukemen. Tsukemen, or Japanese Dipping Ramen, is a variation of Japanese Ramen where the noodles and soup are served separately. You dip the noodles in the separated broth, which is much stronger tasting and concentrated than your usual ramen. It is usually accompanied by standard ramen sides like chashu and ajitsuke tamago (marinated soft-boiled eggs).
Ramen Champion specialises in ramen, hosting a number of different ramen booths at their outlet. They are known to host annual ramen tasting competitions among their different booths. They recently started offering Tsukemen, so we decided to check it out. When we arrived at Ramen Champion, we were met by a Japanese chef, Horikawa, who heads the outlet, giving us faith in the authenticity of the Tsukemen.
My 12LB challenge was loaded with ramen noodles, ajistsuke tamago, chashu, bean sprouts, shredded cabbage and nori seaweed. On the side was the broth itself, lightly garnished with spring onions. The broth was a deep orange-brown colour and thicker than your usual ramen broth. The flavour was complex and intense, heavy on umami and salty notes. I noticed numerous ingredients being added to form the base before being blended but the staff were reluctant to reveal anything specific other than the broth being based off chicken and pork bones. Only a light dipping is required to capture the right intensity for your noodles and it could easily overwhelm an unwary eater.
For the sides, the chashu were blowtorched and cooked well. The tamago were perfectly soft-boiled, disintegrating easily at the slightest pressure and slightly salty from the soy bath used. The ramen itself was the most unique part, thicker and a lot chewier than your usual ramen or even your run-of-the-mill Chinese-style noodles. The Chef who invented this knew exactly what he was doing, with the thick noodles being an exceptional pairing with the heavy broth. Noticeably, almost half the bowl was actually made up of the vegetables.
This was a straightforward challenge for me even with the strong flavour of the broth, as I tend to love my ramen. It would be very worthwhile to try this interesting spin on ramen regardless of your view on ramen, but be sure to dip sparingly!
